Projects

A small selection of projects I have worked on in the past. I can give you more information about them in a personal conversation.

You can get more information about me here.

Dot UI

Dot UI

Dot UI is a just-for-fun project where I try to create UIs thar are reduced to the minimum and only use dots as elements. The project is still in an early stage and I am actively working on it.

I’m using CSS transitions and animations as well as Framer Motion to create the UIs. I’ve built multiple custom transitions between dot states, a custom dot state builder and a way to transform 3D rendered graphics into dot graphics.

Notfallguru

Notfallguru

Notfallguru is a web application that provides paramedics and hospital staff with valuable information on how to respond in emergency situations. A native app with offline support is currently in development.

A fast loading time (in Canada, the loading time could be a bit slower because it is hosted in Europe) and a modern search experience are important features of the application. I’ve used Remix for the frontend, Apollo to talk with the GraphQL API provided by Payload CMS, Redis for caching API requests, and Typesense as a search engine. A link checker is running every night to check if all links are still working. I worked together with the designer, who is also responsible for a print version.

100 Days CSS

100 Days CSS

100 Days CSS is a personal project where I challenged myself to create a new CSS snippet every day for 100 days. The current state is the third iteration of the project and enables everyone to join the challenge.

The website is hosted on a simple Apache server, that’s why I’ve chosen Preact for the frontend and PHP for a simple API. I wrote a custom implementation for the CodePen snippets for good performance and a matching UI. So far, over 10.000 people have joined the challenge and posted their own results.

Unyfy Backend

Unyfy Backend

Unyfy offers a platform for content creators to publish, monetize, and engage their audience with customizable tools and no-code options. It offers various strategies and features for monetization and community engagement.

The entire product is built by a team of multiple developers and a designer. One part of the product is a custom CMS that allows content creators to manage their content. I built most of it (with the help of Tailwind UI) and focused on an easy-to-use interface.

Velobiz

Velobiz

Velobiz is a website that focuses on the business aspect of the bicycle industry. It offers news and analysis on market trends, new products, and industry events. The site is made for professionals such as manufacturers and retailers, offering insights into the cycling sector.

I worked with two other developers on this project, both were partially responsible for the backend. I designed and built the frontend with Next.js. This was my last project before I switched to Tailwind CSS.

smapLand

smapLand

smapLand is a community platform for the customers of smapOne. It offers a place to share experiences, ask questions, and get help from other users. The platform is also used by the company to announce new features and updates.

The frontend consists of a Remix application that talks to a GraphQL API provided by a headless WordPress backend I customized for the project. Users can log in via SSO with their smapOne account and get a personalized experience. There is also a third-party forum integrated seamlessly by matching the UIs of both frontends. A rough design was provided by the client, and based on that, I created the final UI.
